Mediation, Arbitration, Litigation
Course Type: Elective
Credits: 3
When a transaction goes south, the licensee will have to handle the situation with care and tact. This course will teach the licensee the characteristics of mediation, arbitration and litigation. The licensee will learn why the three processes require different methods of resolution and why each method needs to be handled differently. The way the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is handled differs between the board of Realtors and outside private sources. If ADR fails to produce a solution, the dreaded litigation process will be explained and what licensees can expect. Compromise is always preferable to litigation and can save money and aggravation. This course is a must for all licensees because you will learn why you want to settle rather than fight.
