Introduction to Commercial Real Estate

Students will be introduced to the various aspects of commercial real estate. This section will introduce students to the basic elements of investing in commercial real estate and why investors would purchase commercial real estate. Students will understand the advantages and disadvantages of investing in real estate. Students will understand the 4 basic types of commercial real estate: single family/multi-family residential; office property; retail property; industrial property. The objective of this section is to teach the licensee the magnitude of the associations in American society and the role of the associations.
